My life now

This is now my life.

*picture bloopers at the end*

Yup. Back in school at full force. What the actual fuck am I thinking?! It’s been 13 years since I last did this shit, THIRTEEN!! That’s a whole teenager! Only 1 exam in and I’m exhausted. Did get a 98% on that exam though so there’s that.

I have found that, even though I’m older and out of practice….and all this is online….and I work full time with other responsibilities……..it has been easier this time around with these classes. I think it’s a combination of being more interested in these subjects, being more able to multitask and schedule my week, and having more drive because I know what career I want now. I plan to maintain a 4.0 for this second degree and I feel confident I can accomplish this. Even if it’s totally gonna melt my brain.

So yep, that’s why I haven’t been to up to date on my blogging…too much to do otherwise that this gets put off. Sorry. Not sorry hahaha. I’m trying to keep Instagram and Twitter updated daily so check those out, under the same name…jounadulterated. I’m done with Facebook, least until after the election…probably longer. Fucking idiots. So check out those platforms and stay tuned here. Go be kind and educate yourself and vote.

As you can see…they’re all so helpful….

Reason for the trip

So last post was mostly pictures of our little road trip from week before last. The reason for the trip was the fact that my Dad was having surgery. Neck surgery. During a pandemic. With already iffy health at best. Yea. I was stressed.

So he was having surgery to alleviate some build up on his C5 vertebrae, though the doc said he really needed his whole spin done, because he lost strength on his right side and has had increased tingling/numbness down both arms. They tried physical therapy and thought about putting it off, but finally it just couldn’t wait. Thankfully Dad has lost a LOT of weight, which increased his healthiness…..though he still has some major problems that makes surgery a bit tricky.

My parents were down the weekend before to spend some time, and that was awesome, but I wanted to spend just a bit more time and be a bit closer while everything was going on……so Ross and Freya came with me for moral support and we drove 5 hours to KY the day before.

He was having surgery at the VA, which already meant I would have a hard time getting in there anyway without a military ID…and through a pandemic I could forget that shit…but I wanted to be close anyway. So we got the same hotel they were staying in and we stayed the night until he was in recovery the next day. It was nice to be close and for him to know we were there, and he enjoyed seeing Freya again haha. She did great on the trio and was intrigued and massively confused by the hotel. All in all it was good though, and he came through the surgery just fine. The next day he said he felt relief already and even other things, like his hip, that were beginning to be issues were feeling better. So happy happy.

So that’s it. It has been a very hectic few months and it’s only going to increase. Yay. Ugh haha. So go be kind, wear a mask, and vote folks!

Oy I’m too old for this

Why did I start back to school and how did I do so many classes the first time around?! Good lord. I’m exhausted hahahaha. I only have 2 classes and they’re whooping me.

That’s all this post was. Just a momentary rant. A break away from reading textbooks to complain. That’s all

Ok. Back to the regularly scheduled program. Be kind. Wear a mask. And don’t allow Trump to be president another term. Go vote folks.

Road trip!!!

The start of our first road trip
Someone like beef jerky
She’s glad we are done for the day
Totally wiped out
Getting to rest and visit a lake
Got to visit a civil war spot
Her usual position as we drove
Glad to be back home!

This was Freya’s first major road trip! 5 hours in the car, and many…many…stops along the way! I’ll be more detailed next blog but wanted to get these photos up. Thanks guys and go be kind!
